Services
We pride ourselves on being Australia’s leading advisors on solar farm developments. We work hand in hand with our partners to make sure the right decisions are made, at the right time, for the right outcomes.
Our work delivers the lowest utility-scale build cost and O&M in Australia (per delivered MWh).
Our services include:
ASSET EVALUATION
-
Our feasibility studies provide crucial insights into potential projects, ensuring the most effective deployment of capital and resources.
Early identification of planning and environmental issues is fundamental to any developer’s site appraisal process. Our feasibility studies involve assessing resource and planning requirements; budget estimates; unique geographical and topographical characteristics of each site; technical challenges and opportunities; network strength and constraints; timing and finance considerations; market opportunities and financial benefits; operational requirements and costs; and the regulatory landscape.
-
We help investors make informed decisions about plant performance and return expectations.
We produce simulations of solar irradiance and estimate solar yield and performance factors at a given site. Yield and performance data feed into our detailed financial modelling of each project.
-
We target our efforts in the most suitable locations to maximise the efficient deployment of resources.
We identify potential sites for utility-scale solar development and evaluate grid connection capacity at each location.
-
Our concept designs help a variety of audiences to understand the project, what it will look like and the resources required.
We work closely with suppliers and select components based on the most appropriate and cost-effective technology available. We produce plant layouts that ensure civil engineers can minimise the earthworks required to meet design and drainage specifications.
ASSET DELIVERY
-
Our experience helps to navigate the processes efficiently and thereby reduce timeframes.
We manage the grid connection process from preliminary enquiry to connection contract.
-
Kinelli has partnered with Jurchen Technology GmbH from Germany for the supply of the PEG mounting systems. The PEG system is an innovative fixed mounting system that uses the PV modules frame as a structural element in array design. The simplicity of the system speeds construction and reduces delivery time and cost. We arrange full structural certification of systems in Australia for wind regions A, B and C.
With a significant installed base of the PEG system, we have a superior understanding of deploying the PEG product to maximum advantage.
-
The depth of experience of our award-winning engineering capability ensures smooth delivery of the highest quality projects.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with commercial focus leads to innovative designs that deliver superior return on investment. We draw from many years of experience in remote sites, focusing on the practicality and robustness of our designs. We are acutely aware of the complexities of operating mission-critical plants in isolated locations.
-
Kinelli has a demonstrated record in capital raising over several decades. Our reputation for excellence and innovation arises from our history of successfully delivering on our commitments.
The Kinelli team attracts project funding from various sources, including debt funding, institutional investment, and private equity. We prepare information memoranda and pitch projects to potential investors or alternative finance providers.
Kinelli has secured a combination of private investment and commercial debt to fund utility-scale solar farms. Institutional, corporate and consortia of ethical investors have invested in our projects.
-
Key technical hardware components are sourced from the global market using Tier 1 suppliers who offer the best technical support and warranty for their products.
Kinelli offers a full suite of services by managing the administration, financial management and compliance for clients’ project entities. We also handle the procurement of goods and services, arrange foreign currency hedging and conversions, control import logistics, and coordinate freight to the site.
ASSET MANAGEMENT
-
Kinelli provides wholesale market access and compliance services to our operational solar farms. We make the necessary arrangements in relation to prudential requirements; maximum credit limits and credit support; generator performance standards; registration of generators and applications for exemption; and registration as a participant on the NEM.
We have NEM-related policies and procedures and IT systems and security to facilitate our interface with AEMO. Our solar farms earn additional revenues by creating, registering, and marketing green products, all managed by our team internally.
-
We work with our installation partner to identify stakeholders and facilitate community participation by arranging meaningful engagement activities for each project. Our approach to local engagement includes connecting with the community ahead of the commencement of the project. We prepare documentation, conduct risk analysis, respond with appropriate mitigation techniques, determine the best engagement strategies and conflict resolution plans, and build capacity for local communities.
Done well, connecting with local communities can be a positive experience smoothing the conduct of business.
